2022
ENEMIGO MIO
CLIMATIC CONDITIONS
The 2022 vintage was generally a very dry vintage, with a fairly hot summer after a dry winter and spring in La Raja. This led the vines to considerable stress, and the bunches to a significant over-ripening, forcing us to be especially above the control of harvest dates. The manual harvesting of Garnacha in 12-kilo boxes therefore began very early, on August 25, and we finished entering the 35,000 kilograms of grapes on August 26, receiving the grapes in excellent health and in record time.
GRAPE ORIGIN
100% Garnacha from a single 4-hectare vineyard at the foot of the Sierra de La Pila, just in front of the winery The age of the vineyard is 5 years old and it is 100% property with north orientation and fresh clay soil. Due to the natural vigor of our Garnacha clone, we perform thinning and green pruning in May and June to reduce bunch load on vines.
AGING
During the alcoholic (22 degrees) and malolactic fermentation in the French wood fudres of 11,000 kilos, and later for 4 more months until stabilization prior to bottling.

TASTING NOTES
Enemigo Mio is a wine of a beautiful cherry red color with a not very intense layer. On the nose, the intense notes of youth stand out, of wild red fruits and liquorice, accompanied by details of scrub, balsamic, mentholated. In the background, very light notes of toasted wood, elegant, subtle, always accompanying the fruit as the protagonist. Fresh notes of wild herbs and spices. On the palate it is a smooth wine, again very fresh and long, with surprising acidity and very sweet and pleasant tannins.
